Guinness World Records

I was watching the guinness world records on axn today, and I realised what a waste of time it is. Then I browsed their website, and read about a guy who memorized 2,808 playing cards which were shuffled! He took 11 hours 42 minutes to memorize them, and 3 hours 30 minutes to recite them in the exact sequence with just 8 errors. Whats the whole point?! Yeah, sure he can remember the order of the cards. But what exactly did this guy achieve by doing that? He could have done so much more in that amount of time. I admit though... he must be having loads of patience. I could never do it.
